Always popular, always a pleasure – that’s Darlington’s Tea Room here at Heart of the Shires. Perhaps there’s just enough time left, this year, to enjoy the last few days of al fresco dining?
Whatever the weather, here are a selection of recent comments:
“Free parking. A convenient break on the A5. Generous meals and snacks in a country cafe atmosphere. Near junction 16 of the M1. In a lovely retail park.”

“We had lunch here and took my disabled mum. It was warm and cozy and the staff were first class. We all ordered different meals and we all would recommend any of them. The pineapple lemonade was a definite hit with my mum. We will definately be eating here again and will try an fit in a lovely cake next time.”

“First visit today after a recommendation. Would definitely recommend too. Food and staff were great all working so efficiently. After eating we browsed round the shops with great interest as it was nice to see independant traders with lots to view. All in beautiful surroundings.”
