We’re in a very vintage mood here at Heart of the Shires – classic is very much ‘in’ at the moment. So, to accompany our upcoming handmade and vintage fair, we’re pleased to announce that we will also be hosting an unmissable classic car show.
Northamptonshire car show
The free event will take place on Sunday 23rd October and will celebrate the collection of original classic vehicles from Shire Classic Cars.
Shire Classic Cars have a workshop in Woodford, Northamptonshire where they service vintage cars. But for this event, the specialists will be revealing their own collection to the public.
The collection includes three pre-war Austin cars, a 1958 Morris Minor, a 1962 Rover P4, a 1952 Morris recovery truck and a 1946 standard Fordson tractor amongst many more. In total there will be around 20 vehicles.
All of the cars remain as factory specified, meaning that this is a rare opportunity to see some famous cars in their original build, up-close.
“The outdoor space that we have at our shopping village is ideal for events like this,” comments Gail Cleland, site manager at Heart of the Shires. “We’re really looking forward to both of our upcoming classic-inspired events. If the weather is nice, visitors can bring deck chairs and lay out a picnic. There are also food options here, including a tea room.”
The car show is ideal for any car fanatic and will also be a fabulous family day out – offering the chance to take your children into a time machine – back to what cars looked like in the 50s, 40s and beyond!
Family day out in Northampton
As usual, our gates – alongside our shops – will open at 10am. Guests will then be free to roam around the shops and outdoor premises where the classic cars will be. The event will run until 5pm.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
